Die Mig-17 war das Nachfolgemuster der Mig-15 und wurde in der Sowjetunion als auch bei deren Verbündeten eingesetzt. China produzierte das Muster in Lizenz als Shenyang J-5.

Der Bausatz von Airfix ist einer der neuen Generation. Die Gravuren fallen teilweise zu tief aus. Der Bausatz lässt sich aber wunderbar ohne Probleme bauen. Das Modell ist OOB gebaut.

Dargestellt ist eine Maschine  der Luftstreitkräfte von Nordvietnam des 932. Fighter Regiment in Tho Xuan.

The Airfix kit is one of the new generation. The engravings are sometimes too deep. However, the kit builds beautifully without any problems. The model is built out of stock.
