Die U-2 ist eine der Ikonen der militärischen Luftfahrt, somit durfte auch ein Modell davon nicht in der Sammlung fehlen.

Der Bausatz stammt von Hobby Boss und ist schön gestaltet und auch ohne größere Probleme zu bauen. Zusätzlich wurde noch ein Ätzteilsatz von Eduard verwendet. Die Flaps wurden in Eigenregie abgesenkt und auch die Einstiegsleiter entstand aus Plastikprofilen im Eigenbau. Das Bodenaggregat stammt aus einem Hasegawa Set und wurde ein wenig modifiziert.

Lackiert wurde mit Tamiya, Gunze u. Alclad Farben.

The U-2 is one of the icons of military aviation, so a model of it could not be missing from the collection.

The kit comes from Hobby Boss and is beautifully designed and can be built without any major problems. In addition, a set of etched parts from Eduard was used. The flaps were lowered on my own and the access ladder was scratch built from plastic profiles. The ground power unit comes from a Hasegawa set and has been modified a little.

Everything was painted with Tamiya, Gunze and Alclad paints.
